Alain Tanner left his mark on Swiss film like no other since the 1960s. He died on 11 September at the age of 93. We like to remember him and his films, which were always close to their time and actually always a step ahead. Every (re)viewing shows that they form a kind of family album in which the characters audibly ponder for us about life.
