Juliette au printemps

Children's book illustrator Juliette returns from Paris to her hometown in the French provinces, hoping for two relaxing weeks with her family. Instead, she meets her sister, who is going through an existential crisis, her loving but moody father, her mother, who is going through an esoteric phase, and her beloved grandmother, who is struggling to come to terms with her new life in a nursing home.

In her charming, warm-hearted comedy, French director Blandine Lenoir ("Aurore" and "Annie Colère") tells a story about family relationships, the search for meaning in one's own life and the small absurdities of our daily lives in a profound yet highly entertaining way. Brilliantly played by Izïa Higelin, Jean-Pierre Darroussin and Noémie Lvovsky, "Juliette au printemps" is an adaptation of the successful graphic novel by Camille Jourdy.
